This sonic exploration is a collaborative, experimental venture with renowned Belgian clarinettist Lucy Tasker, exploring contemporary improvisation in flow state.
We collaborate with nature at risk, along with sounds of the future, such as hydrogen being tested on diesel engines. The project shows the value of the temporary, the need for collaboration across species, and shows that the future is always shifting. Leaning into mistakes is part of the process.
Often accompanied by responsive visual projections and the use of a sustainable spatial audio rig for a full immersive experience. We also invite special guests to join, making each experience unique.
The aim is to create jam spaces for festivals, conferences and events that welcome people to join us and enter their own flow state and reflect on our shared future.
the rig
Developing a new spatial audio rig to enable collaborations across sounds and species. Using reclaimed materials this rig explores how found objects can influence sonic response.
music making
My work focuses on nature-human collaboration. I love to create improvisation flow-state performance, encouraging others to enter their flow like the elements. I am currently developing a new immersive spatial audio rig for deep listening and workshops, to create a sound space that inspires and excites. My work centres around the intersection of tech, folk and flow, bringing neurodivergence, nature and machines together.
You’ll find me composing and reading the world through the eyes of a folkloric Hooden Horse, an ancient jesting tradition from Kent.

reintegrating folklore
I am working to use the power of music to convey more-than-human perspectives and connection with nature to create greater empathy towards the environment. Reincarnating old folksongs from regional areas is a beautiful process that has long since existed to explore this.
flow-state
Harnessing neurodivergent flow state to explore sound like the elements. Encouraging collaboration through improvisation, to create deep connections with each other and the world around us.
