The Flow Project
Building inclusive futures through the senses
exploring creative flow-state & ecological connection
This work was realised within the framework of the VOICE project with support from the Horizon Programme of the European Union under grant number 101135803.
what would it feel like to play the river?
sparking interconnection through immersive, inclusive experiences
The Flow Project is a collaborative project and living ecology exploring the intersection of flow-states, neurodivergence, and the more-than-human world. Rooted in deep listening and immersive practice, it brings together artists, scientists, communities, and ecosystems to reimagine connection — with ourselves, each other, and the planet.
The desire is to grow a transdisciplinary, inclusive network. that offers space for divergent thinking and new ideas to spark. It weaves creative, scientific, human, and more-than-human perspectives to activate flow states with nature — especially through neurodiverse ways of sensing.
The design method cultivates felt connection to the living world, with the belief that these deep moments can transform how people and systems understand, value, and care for our place in nature, shaping dynamic, regenerative futures.
flow-state or being ‘in the zone’ is a powerful experience that connects us to the world on a deeper level
This project explores the potential of flow in bridging the connection between social & ecological wellbeing.
By flowing like the elements and experiencing with our senses, we can find deeper interconnection with nature + each other, ultimately encouraging new ways of being. Fostered from ancient practices, creative innovation around this can cultivate empathy, custodianship whilst embracing divergent thinking at a time of polycrisis.
